Firm History
The genesis of Johnston Legal Group PC can be traced back to 1988 when Mr. Johnston helped form a small Dallas/Ft. Worth law firm that focused on the representation of insurance companies and the self insured. Except for a short stint at a larger firm, Mr. Johnston has been the principal attorney in his law practice ever since. The firm has served hundreds of clients, including numerous insurance companies; the self insured, managing general agents, commercial enterprises, and individuals.
At its beginning, the firm had one location. Today, the firm is located in four Texas cities and has nine full and part-time employees plus five attorneys.
The combined legal/insurance experience of our team members exceeds one hundred years. Michael Johnston has celebrated being an attorney for over a quarter of a century.
Even though Johnston Legal Group PC has had the fortune of expanding, it is committed to remain a small firm. However, in order to meet new challenges, Michael Johnston has developed a innovative network of highly competent attorneys who are also members of small firms who specialize in a number of different practice areas and are located in various areas of the state. The framework for this network has existed for a short period of time, but when fully implemented, the Texas Lawyer Network will provide clients with the best of both worlds – that is the resources of a large firm with the personal attention of a small one.
